The humans behind the robots

We free human hands from repetitive tasks

We equip collaborative robots with the tools they need to perform specialized tasks like palletizing, machine tending, screwdriving, and sanding, as well as cobot components like adaptive grippers, wrist cameras, and software.

By adopting lean robotics principles, we offer robotics design, integration, and operational features that empower people, increase productivity, and enhance adaptability.

Our visionary leaders

Samuel Bouchard

Samuel Bouchard

CEO & Author

Samuel’s entrepreneurial spirit is deeply rooted in his passion for science and innovation. As a child, he was always building and tinkering, driven by a curiosity that later led him to the vast world of astronomy. This fascination with the universe inspired him to study engineering physics, which led him to intern at a robotics lab at Laval University, where he found his calling. Alongside Vincent Duchaine and Jean-Philippe Jobin, Samuel co-founded Robotiq, aiming to transform the robotics industry.

As the CEO, Samuel's vision for Robotiq is grounded in intelligent design and user-friendly products. His leadership is characterized by humility, optimism, and respect for both the technology and the people who use it. Samuel is also the author of Lean Robotics, a methodology that drives Robotiq's mission to redefine automation. Outside of his professional life, Samuel is a devoted father of four, and his children proudly share that their dad creates robot hands.

Jean-Philippe Jobin

Jean-Philippe Jobin

CTO & Circus Performer

Jean-Philippe’s journey is a testament to the fusion of art and technology. From his early days as a circus performer, traveling the world and captivating audiences with his unicycle tricks, juggling, and acrobatics, to co-founding Robotiq with Samuel Bouchard and Vincent Duchaine, Jean-Philippe's life has been a blend of creativity and innovation.
At Laval University in Quebec City, the trio embarked on a mission to revolutionize the robotics industry. Today, Robotiq stands as a reflection of their vision, with products operating in over 30 countries.

As CTO, Jean-Philippe brings a unique perspective, bridging the gap between engineers and clients, and ensuring that technology remains accessible and user-friendly. His circus days might be behind him, but the agility, teamwork, and creativity he honed in those years continues to influence his approach to work and life.

Vincent Duchaine

Vincent Duchaine

Cofounder & Robotics Visionary

Vincent’s passion for robotics is evident in his academic pursuits—as a specialist in robotic manipulation and tactile sensing—and his hands-on approach to innovation.

His academic journey at École de technologie supérieure (ÉTS) in Montreal has been marked by a relentless quest for knowledge. Outside the classroom, he has been instrumental in the development of several patented technologies that have the potential to redefine the robotics landscape.

Co-founding Robotiq was a natural progression for Vincent, allowing him to translate his academic insights into real-world applications. Vincent's role at Robotiq is pivotal, guiding the company's technological direction and ensuring that the products are not only innovative but also grounded in practicality.

Vincent is also a mentor and guide, inspiring the next generation of roboticists through his teachings at ÉTS.
