Double Daily Production With the Wrist Camera
Every year, WALT Machine Inc. gets big orders that need to be delivered in short delays. By the time a new employee is trained, most of the order is delivered and the employee’s contract is over. A robot picking with vision had been an option for a while, but the complexity and cost of the integration was a major blocker.
With a Robotiq Wrist Camera and a 2-Finger 140 Gripper installed on a Universal Robot UR10, WALT Machine Inc. can now run non-stop when delays are tight. The camera locates a raw part on the table and the Gripper picks it. The part is then put in the CNC machine and the robot presses the start button. When finished, it gets the part out and starts over again.
