Our sales team is currently looking for a Sales Engineer located in Malaysia or Singapore to fill a permanent position.
The function requires frequent travel throughout the territory, between 50% to 75% of the time.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the APAC Sales Director, with a dotted line to Support and Services, the Sales Engineer is designed to provide pre and post sales technical support for customers with large, repeat business potential. Primary focus would be on our applications solutions products portfolio, specifically Palletizing, Screwdriving and Machine Tending.
Main Responsibilities:
MORE SPECIFICALLY, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD BE :
- Provide Field interface for Applications Solutions Accounts in APAC - This includes ASEAN, China, Japan, Korea, India, and Oceania.
- Coordinate the Support to our partners and strategic clients throughout the process of building their Robotics cell, before, during and after the sale.
- Coordinate other technical and commercial resources as required within the region.
- Be a team player and collaborate with various functions.
- Responsible for managing and coordinating efforts of Robotiq’s Application Solutions within assigned territory.
- Professionally represent Robotiq at Partners, Events and Customers throughout the territory.
- Develop new and grow existing relationships (Hunting to create and farming to take a deeper dive).
- Pipeline/Opportunity Management.
- Overachieve sales objectives in a given territory.
- Responsible for identifying, developing and managing Applications Solutions targets and objectives within assigned territory.
Candidate profile:
- Degree (or equivalent experience) in electronic or mechanical engineering, or relatable engineering degree.
- More than 5 years of experience, preferably closer to 10 years, related to our industries such as factory automation, robotics, packaging, etc.
- Excellent ability to build and maintain relationships
- Service oriented and keen troubleshooting skills
- Capacity to manage own priorities and be autonomous
- Valid driving license and available to travel on a regular basis
- Proficiency in oral and written English and Chinese Mandarin languages.
- Experience with Universal Robots (UR) Cobots will be an added advantage.
