The Problem

Korea Filter Engineering processes heavy industrial filter boxes weighing 10–20 kg, with employees manually lifting around 4 tons of material per day. This caused frequent back, shoulder, and muscle strain, especially given an aging workforce, leading to higher injury risk, absenteeism, and reduced productivity. Although they tried different lifting methods, operations always returned to fully manual palletizing, further decreasing efficiency, lowering employee morale, and even causing delivery delays.

The Solution

To address these challenges, Korea Filter Engineering implemented the Robotiq PE20 Palletizing Solution with a UR20 cobot. The compact, collaborative robot works safely alongside staff without protective enclosures, integrates smoothly with the conveyor system, and handles repetitive palletizing tasks efficiently. Its intuitive interface allows any operator to learn basic operations quickly, enabling the company to increase productivity while protecting workers from physical strain.
