Problem

Because of the high-mix, low-volume production, most of Scott Fetzer Electrical Group lines don’t run everyday. Implementing traditional robots on those lines was a challenge in term of ROI and safety, since the robots would have to be close to the workers.

Solution

Each morning, workers roll the collaborative robots to the working stations where the production needs are. Monotonous, labor intensive, hazardous tasks are now automated and employees can focus on added-value and safer tasks in any department that needs more resources.
