Automation made easy with Lean Palletizing

Your end-of-line is the final stop before delivery to your customers. It's also one of the most manual and labor-intensive. Manual palletizing is hard to staff and harder to scale. Robotiq helps you automate it—without complexity, long timelines, or rigid systems.

Lean Palletizing is fast to set up, easy to use, and ready to scale with your business.

It’s everything you need, nothing you don’t.

Robotiq Lean Palletizing software

Simple where it matters, powerful where it counts. Experience software that empowers people, boosts performance, and grows your business.

  • For operators: Select a recipe, start, palletize. Fewer steps, fewer errors, and a day that’s predictable and productive.

  • For technicians: Full autonomy. Quickly add new SKU and adapt to production changes while keeping palletizing consistent and flexible.

  • For the business: Reliable, robust and designed to evolve with your business with AI-based optimized trajectories, smart handling of variability and scalable open platform.

Small footprint

Installs in 3 days. Fits your space. Scales with you.

No need to reconfigure your line or halt production.

Robotiq’s compact system fits your layout now and grows with it later.

How much does it cost?

The exact cost depends on your factory’s setup, but the payoff is clear—most factories see ROI in 1–2 years through labor savings, higher output, and lower hiring costs.

FAQ

What is automated palletizing and how does it work?

Automated palletizing uses a robotic system, often a collaborative robot (cobot), to pick, orient, and stack products onto pallets in a predefined pattern. With Robotiq’s Lean Palletizing, operators can set up pallet patterns through an intuitive interface without programming, allowing fast deployment and consistent stacking quality.

Lean Palletizing workcells can handle an unlimited number of SKUs, a payload of up to 77 lb (35 kg), and a throughput of up to 13 cycles per minute. Close to 1000 units have been deployed worldwide.

Why should manufacturers automate palletizing?

Manufacturers automate palletizing to reduce manual labor, improve consistency, and prevent workplace injuries caused by repetitive lifting. A robotic palletizer helps address labor shortages while increasing throughput and maintaining stable production. For example at Cascade Coffee, Robotiq Lean Palletizing handled production increases (6500 cases palletized in one day!)

How much does a palletizing system cost?

The cost of a palletizing system varies depending on throughput, layout, and application requirements. Collaborative palletizing solutions typically require a lower upfront investment than traditional industrial systems and can deliver a faster return on investment thanks to quick installation and minimal integration complexity.

The exact price of a Lean Palletizing workcell can vary by region. In the Americas, palletizing starts at 85k USD.

What is the ROI of a robotic palletizer?

Robotiq Lean Palletizing can deliver ROI in as quickly as 12 months by reducing labor costs, minimizing product damage, and improving productivity. Because cobot palletizers are easy to deploy and require little training, manufacturers can start realizing value shortly after installation. Martin Ray Winery achieved a 16-month ROI with only one workcell and one shift.

Do I need programming experience to use a palletizer?

No. Robotiq’s palletizing solution is designed for operators, not robotics experts. The user interface guides you through pallet configuration and operation, so your team can run the system with minimal training. As an example, teaching a new SKU takes one minute.

How does a cobot palletizer compare to traditional solutions?

A cobot palletizer is designed to work safely alongside people (when a risk assessment allows for it) and is faster to deploy, easier to use, and more flexible than traditional industrial palletizers. Traditional systems often require complex programming, safety fencing, and longer integration times. A Robotiq Lean Palletizing workcell meets traditional solution performance with a footprint that is 3-4 times smaller.

How long does it take to install a palletizing system?

Modern palletizing solutions can be installed and operational in a matter of a few days. Robotiq’s Lean Palletizing is designed for quick setup, allowing teams to go from delivery to production rapidly without complex integration work without production stop. The Robotiq PAL Ready workcell is designed to be installed in one day.

Is my application a good fit for a palletizing robot? How can I know if palletizing automation will work in my plant?
Most palletizing applications are a good fit if they involve:
  • Boxes, bags, or containers under 77 lb (35 kg)
  • Repetitive stacking patterns
  • Moderate speeds (e.g., 5–13 picks/min)
  • Labor-intensive end-of-line tasks

The best way to know is to evaluate your application based on your exact requirements.

Where can I see a palletizing solution in action?

Manufacturers can explore real-world applications through case studies, tradeshows, or by connecting with local partners and integrators. Seeing similar applications helps validate fit and expected performance.
